Why do you have a door hanger?
You have a door hanger because one of our technicians visited your residence and was unable to complete your natural gas meter inspection.
As an authorized contractor of Atlanta Gas Light, we share Atlanta Gas Light’s commitment to providing you with safe and reliable natural gas service. That’s why as part of federal and state regulations and as part of our safety and maintenance programs, we periodically conduct physical surveys of natural gas meters. We conduct unannounced inspections of natural gas meters at homes and businesses throughout Metro Atlanta. This can sometimes include painting and performing minor maintenance on the meter within your home or business.
We appreciate your help in making your meter accessible so we can complete our safety check and maintenance tasks.
We were unable to survey the meter for one of the following reasons:
- Gas Meter Inside
- Gate Locked
- Dog
- Obstruction (i.e., plants, debris, etc.)
If you have a door hanger, please call us immediately at 770-864-5237, Monday through Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. so that we can schedule this survey and complete inspection of the company-owned gas meter on your property without obstruction.
